We are already into November and moving right along on the dance routines and our tumblers are really progressing. I have totally enjoyed getting to know each of your fabulous kids. The girls and boys in each of the classes are starting to become friends and it is so fun to be a part of it. Our Halloween parties last week were a hit. Your costumes were great and I appreciate all the time and effort each of you took to make it so successful.
This month of Thanksgiving, Excel Dance Company wants all of you to know how THANKFUL we are for you, your kids, and all of the community that does so much to support us. We are having a month of “EXCEL is thankful…” and will be encouraging our dancers and tumblers to do EXCEL-lent service around their homes and in the community to show our appreciation. Please either post pictures on Facebook or Instagram, tagging Excel Dance Company or add #excelisthankful. You can also send them to me and I will post them. We have sweet notes from your dancers and tumblers hanging in the studio, thanking their parents and/or grandparents for helping them become beautiful, talented dancers and tumblers. Come check them out!
Also in celebration of “EXCEL is thankful…” month, we are having a drawing at the end of this month for a free month of dance or tumbling classes. All you have to do is send a canned good with your students to class, which will go to the local food bank, and for each canned good they bring, they will receive their name in the drawing.
Lastly, to thank our wonderful parents and grandparents, we will be featuring many of you on our Facebook and Instagram pages with words shared by your sweet kids.
Just a reminder, November tuition is due this week. If you forgot, please be sure to turn it in next week to avoid getting a finance charge added on to your account. Also due this week is the remaining balance for the costumes. I have tried to keep the cost down as much as possible. Please make sure to get this in because I am ordering costumes this week to get them here by the recital. Those who participated in the pizza fundraiser, thank you so much. It was very successful and totally paid for some of your costumes and/or tuition. You should have received a statement if you did participate so you know where you are with this month’s fees.
We will be starting another successful fundraiser this week for those who would like to participate. Many of you did great with it last year. It is the Gourmet Popcorn Fundraiser. We will be selling November 5th through November 19th. Orders will arrive the week of December 14th, just in time for CHRISTMAS!
Looking ahead:
- There will be no dance or tumbling classes held the week of Thanksgiving. This is November 23rd through 27th. However, Thursday classes, Ruby, Sapphire, Crystal, and Diamond teams will have an extra practice on Monday, November 23. Watch for times to be sent out.
- There will be no dance or tumbling classes over Christmas and New Year’s break, December 21st-January 1st.
- Our Winter Showcase for all TUMBLING classes is coming up. Watch for times and dates for that.
- There will be a DRESS REHEARSAL and our WINTER RECITAL for all DANCERS during the week of January 11-15 at the Fairview Dance Hall. We are still working times and dates out with the city.
Thanks for sharing your great kids with me. They each add so much to our classes. Continue to encourage them to practice at home.
